Current human consumption is causing the depletion of natural resources, exceeding the limits of planet Earth's finite capacity. In the coming decades it will be a challenge to find a way to feed the growing population when many resources are already scarce.
It is necessary to adopt a growth model that is less dependent on scarce resources such as water, soil, and raw materials, that does not rely on energy based on fossil fuels, and that respects the regenerative capacity of renewable resources. This growth must be largely dematerialized, based on renewable resources and keeping materials within the production cycle.
It is therefore essential to reflect on current patterns of production and consumption and to rethink growth models.

Join Fernando Reino da Costa to explore the ways in which the cultural change that has been happening in the past recent years has inspired us to take action and become more socially sustainable. Several concerns that were brought to us in 2020 had already been accentuated by the Millennial generation in the recent years, however, only now did they receive maximum attention by individuals and organizations. They include the requalification of people and the initiatives we, as a society, must tak...

The overexploitation of natural resources and human-caused pollution has serious consequences for ecosystems, for public health, and for future generations. For these reasons, the current lifestyle, i.e. the current economic system, is not sustainable. Sustainable development must meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Therefore, it must allow a decent life for all within the limits of the planet and reconciling economic eff...
